Modern Trousseau: NYC Bridal Market

As I sit here this morning it's a different morning. Not like any of the others partly due to the fact that it's my First Mother's Day! I can't help but feel special to have my family and nothing would make me more happy, but to share with you this amazing dessert display we confected for Modern Trousseau. Bridal Market 2011 New York City. When Designer Callie Tein approached us to make cupcake pops and a dessert display to be showcased in their newly, beautifully styled studio I said of course! But with only one week away I knew we needed to get cracking. First things first you can make confections all day long, but it won't look half as good without dessert signage. For this project we partnered up with the Lovely Nichole Michel from Coral Pheasant Stationery + Design. I love Nichole and her work. The best part is when we collaborate we tell each other our ideas then there's a long pause (like I think she may be thinking I'm a little nuts with my deadlines) but then somehow she pulls it all together Flawlessly! Thanks Nichole for all your beautiful work it wouldn't had been the same without you!

We drew our inspiration from Modern Trousseau down to their colors, fabric, and logo. I wanted to create something that would represent them. Luxury and Glamour. We confected vanilla cupcakes with blue and white almond buttercream frosting and alternated ruffled blue and white baking cups, white fluffy marshmallows, white chocolate truffle pops dipped in coconut with a pearl border around the sticks, macaroons, and blue and white candies inside the apothecary jars. All of our confections were displayed on  1900's  vintage Westmoreland milk glass platters and our cupcake pops were showcased on our antique Fenton cake platters! Which are all available for rent. Please inquire for pricing.

Coral Pheasant created these beautiful cupcake flags in three different logos and a triangular banner to sit on top of the cupcakes that spelled out MODERN TROUSSEAU.

Then came the cupcake pops! We created vanilla dipped in blue and white chocolate. I put a pearl border around each stick, and wrapped them in tulle with white satin ribbon and custom made MT lables. In doing so I was able to incorporate the texture and feel of Callie's custom design wedding gowns.

We were excited to be featured on completely unveiled by Weddings Unveiled for this dessert display. Come check us out for more pictures. A special thanks for everyone who made this possible. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day especially you Mom I Love You!

Destination Inspiration... Inspired Parisian Dessert Display

We are so excited to share the details of our Couture Dessert Display inspired after destination Paris. The city of LOVE. I could not think of a better way to pay homage to the fabulous Paris Patisseries. This display is a true reflection of our company and why we Love what we do, and most importantly what we eat!

The inspiration behind this patisserie dessert display was inspired after Laduree. We decided to create a dessert display, and a mini tea bar. We found these great vintage silver serving carafes and pulled in the color green in the tea cups. To give it the Parisian feel we had Sucre labels made by Lovely Nichole from Coral Pheasant Stationery and attached them to rock candy stirrers. Nichole is extremely talented and created all of our dessert signage for our display! Thank you for your amazing work!

The wedding cake was inspired after the ballerina from the inspiration board. Our vision for this cake was to incorporate the elements of the fabric, colors ,and the feathers. After creative collaboration we incorporated the lace, headpiece made from feathers and tied it in with a gold brooch to resemble the gold ballerina shoes. You had me at cake!

A Paris dessert display wouldn't be complete without French desserts. We decided to make Profiteroles filled with Chantilly Cream, assembled Croquembouche style. As the french would say Choux a la creme. Big thanks to Datura: A Modern Garden for adding the finishing touches of fresh flowers and raspberries. Amazing job!

Included in our dessert table were French Macaroons, Coconut Truffles, Brownie Balls, Clafouti Aux Cerises, and the newest addition to our cupcake menu Parisian Puffs. A Parisian Puff is a nutmeg cupcake with tops dipped  in butter and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar! Yes, we did it but don't thank us. Thank the French. Bon Appetit!

We wanted to give guests the opportunity to view our display with favor boxes. It's important to know that there is so much variety to be had with a display, and they can be versatile to each client's unique needs. To be used for favors or not the options are endless. We were also excited to show off our exquisite line of Fenton, L.E Glass hobnail, and milkglass cake stands. These stands are absolutely timeless and sure to make any event memorable.

Oh, and the sweets didn't end there. Off we were to set up shop inside the luxurious Chic By The Shore.

It was here that guests had the chance to try our signature confections! We had an assortment of Red Velvet Cake Pops, Lemon Squares, and our Cinfully Carrot Cake topped with Cream Cheese frosting. The confections were displayed on our pink glass hobnail line topped with beautiful glass domes. For more info on our dessert displays, check us out at Lovely Lollies, where we LOVE to Design, Style, Confect, and Capture life's sweet events!

Last but not least here are some images of a Paris Tablescape. This one was created by the talented forces from Jubilee Events. Love the way they incorporated our French Macaroons as place cards. Pure genius!

The Costa Rican Inspiration board was created by Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events and this is what she had to say.
"This board oozes an element of quirkiness and takes advantage of all that Costa Rica has to offer. I never advocate fighting with natural elements— you should embrace them! We have a lot of elements happening here, but a repeat of color and style. I love the vintage travel posters, the gorgeous anthropologie painting with the suitcase and shoes (the muse for this board!) and that amazing photograph of the Costa Rican rain forest."

We look forward to seeing you on March 20th from 11-3pm. Make sure to RSVP to rsvp@eventjubilee.com to reserve your spot by March 17th.
Stay Tuned later on this week as we reveal the delicioso destination menu from Emily's Catering Group. And save room for dessert because we are going to have petite confections to suit any sweet tooth. AZUCAR by Lovely Lollies! More details to follow.

Destination Inspiration... Stop Number Three: Paris

Welcome to Paris our third inspirational city leading up to Destination Bridal Event on March 20th from 11-3. We are so excited, and can hardly wait to showcase what we have in store for you! What inspires you in Paris? Please leave comments we are anxious to know! For us it's this and no one could put it better than Candice Coppola from Jubilee Events. "When being inspired by Paris, remember the gorgeous architecture of the city (no matter where you are– everything is beautiful); a romantic stroll along the Seine river; up and over the brides along cobblestone streets; the delicious nosh and nibbley: the croissant, cafe creme, onion soup (yum!), and eggs for dinner; the delicateness of Parisian style in both food and fashion; Montmartre with its steep hills, artisan culture and stunning views; famous french dames such as Marie Antoinette, Coco Chanel and Brigitte Bardot; gild and excess of musée du Louvre and le château de Versailles. There is so much inspiration to be had."

And as the great Audrey Hepburn once said… Paris is always a good idea.

Destination Inspiration Stop Number Two... New England

Images by Kate Spade

Finally it's here! La parada numero dos: The whimsical land of New England! Encompassing the six beautiful states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont! And with an area of 66,667 square miles there's sure to be plenty of area for everyone. Speaking of area we hope you  saved the date for the unveiling of all unveils on March 20th at The White Dress By The Shore!

Last week we kicked things into gear with the beautiful Isla de Capri, this week whimsical New England, and we're not stopping there. Stay tuned for all the beauty that inspires us to do what we love!  I leave you now with her own inspiration Candice Coppola from Jubilee Events...

"I’m excited to debut our second destination for our Destination Inspired Event at The White Dress by the shore on Sunday, March 20th. We hope you’ve saved the date for an amazing afternoon of inspiration. Our first destination was inspired by the romantic island of Capri where we brought in soft colors and dreamy fabrics. For our next destination, we had to pay homage to the destination that inspires us daily: New England. What do you think of when you think of the great north east? Shades of white and blue, a breezy and cool shoreline, nautical details (stripes/seersucker, shipping knots, sail cloth), Adirondack chairs, clams, oysters and lobster, changing of the seasons, matching pearl necklaces and earrings, Federal Style architecture, the epic blue blazer… Martha’s Vineyard, Kennebunkport, Watch Hill, The Cape and of course nearly every town on the Connecticut shoreline. One thing I love about New England (aside from all those things) is that it can inspire so many different styles— and we intend to use none of the above.

Our muse is found in one of my favorite fashion brands and icons: kate spade. To me, kate is infinitely preppy, feminine, classic and, to put it simply, perfect. What could be more New England than that? With her lady-like silhouettes, high heels, bright lipstick and baubles, kate spade embodies everything about my favorite New England fashion icon, Jackie Kennedy— who was the epitome of the classic look with a modern twist.

I can’t wait to show you what we have in store for this look. If you are a New England lovin’ kate spade gal like me, be inspired by bright colors, simple patterns, chunky jewels, color blocking, a bit of sparkle and tailored fabrics. Their brand is so consistent in everything they put together, from the classic and sleek shapes of their staple hand bags to the cheeky little message waiting for you in your new box of perfume. kate spade is about being pretty and fun!"

We hope you have saved the date for this lovely event of inspiration! Formal invitation to follow. Please email info@jubileeevent.com to get on the exclusive invitation list!!!

Destination Inspiration... La Isla De Capri!

inspiration board crafted by jubilee events

"Did somebody say travel?" No need to tell me twice, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go! I love to travel I'm intrigued by the destination,  the culture, architecture, food, and everything else it has to offer. The Blue Grotto in Capri need I say more! As we get closer to our Destinations Wedding Event taking place at The Lovely White Dress By The Shore each week we will share with you a newly inspired destination! And no I can't spill the beans yet so you'll just have to wait and READ! Please keep an eye out for these amazing locales and for your formal inbox invitation. Not sure if your on the VIP list no worries just email our event coordinator, Jubilee Events at info@eventjubilee.com .

I leave you now with La Isla De Capri in the words by the talented Candice Coppola of Jubilee Events... "Purely romantic, carefree and colorful, our board was inspired by the natural landscape of Capri– the interesting colors and textures– along with the dreamy ocean views. You don’t have to be in Capri to evoke the ambiance and atmosphere there– bring in this color palette along with diverse patterns, smooth finishes and rough textures. Build a menu around regional Almalfi Coast dishes, robust with fishes, lemon (!), handmade pasta, cheeses, and fresh local vegetables. And of course, wine! Be inspired by their beautiful architecture with its greco-roman curved arches, stucco finishes and tiled floors. Think about the narrow windy streets, fresh food markets, local textile artisans, little piazza’s and houses built into the cliff side."
